"The export version of the 2JZ-GTE achieved its higher power output due to different turbochargers (stainless steel for export models, ceramic for Japanese models), camshafts, and larger injectors (550 cc/min for export markets, 440 cc/min for Japanese models). Because the primary mechanical differences between the export (CT12B) and Japanese (CT20A) model turbines are the size and material of the exhaust-side shaft (stainless steel exhaust-side shaft for export models vs ceramic shaft for JDM models), one can replace the JDM's ceramic shaft with the steel variant found in export model."

I don't know where you got that from, Ben, but Toyota did not sell the Aristo TT as a Lexus GS300. The GS300 has been available with the 2JZ-GE, the 1UZ, the 3UZ, and now a V6, but never with the 2JZ-GTE.
There is some information on (I think) an NZ Supra site which has been misinterpreted as saying that the Aristo has steel-wheeled turbos. It doesn't, only the export-spec Supra had the steelies.
The EPC has the same part numbers for the Aristo turbos and the J-spec Supra turbos.
