I'm looking at getting a shift kit for my stock Aristo transmission but i'm not sure what type of transmission it has. Is it the same as the soarer? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The Aristo trans is a bit different to the one in the Soarer, AFAIK it has more clutch plates, no kickdown cable (line pressure is controlled by a solenoid I think) and several other differences. It is still called an A340 though.
I shimmed my accumulators as per the instructions in another thread on here, and it didn't really make much difference. I kept my TRAC operational which apparantly plays a part in softening the shifts, so that was perhaps why I didn't feel much of a change in shift speed.
I actually found the shifts on my old Aristo quite firm and positive as stock anyway, certainly much better than the auto Soarers Ive driven.
