Hello guys, I'm thinking of buying a aristo I'm unsure of how much I'm should be paying for one and what problems should I be looking out for? Also has anyone changed one to manual? And how do they drive with the auto do they feel a little sluggish or do they go quite well? many thanks Tim

Hi Tim, paid just over $14000 for mine. It is a very tidy one and had 118k. As expected I still had to spend more on further fixes. Had to do front ball joints (seem's to be common), nitrogen canister, and sensor on brake booster.
Michael, that sounds like a great buy !
Check the ball joints, abs/trc warnings, the led's on the instrument needles have a habit of going out gradually and I think are a pain to repair.
See my comment's about performance in "Turbo boost" thread Aristo Chat.

Thanks for your info guys. Also the one I had just looked at had adjustable suspension and sunroof 1996 model 85000kms The problems it had were headlights and taillights not working steering wheel tilt not working ABS unit in engine bay kept on making a strange noise. Radio tape and CD player not working. Are these unuseal problems? Thanks Tim

i've got an auto n runs like a dream... further down the track i'll be getting a shift kit and so on but if you are going to keep the car fairly stock the standard auto is awesome.. i Paid 14500 for a grade 5 import 1996 model with 58,000 kms no problems what so ever only thing i have done is servicing every 5 thousand kms

Any from $11k to 14K in very good condition from about 100,000km, I think is great deal. My 97 TT Aristo cost me about 17k and that's about 12 months ago.

Sorry to bring an old thread back from the dead, but what are parts like to get for the Aristo in Australia?? Is there any one wrecking them like the Soarers seem to have?
I like my Soarer(actually my wife has taken that over) but wouldnt mind looking at the Aristo as my next car.

Thanks Steve. How does one find out when the next cruise, drag meet or dyno day is on? Cant seem to find up and coming events on this site other than past events
