im averaging about 15L/100kms, that's about 50/50 highway and city driving. however i managed about ~11L/100kms keeping on below 2000rpm and keeping it off boost.

Wayne I think he means the kilometers. I wouldn't expect to see many kms on a 96 model but maybe someone else can give a more accurate example.

i would say minimum of 120,000-130,000kms for both aristo's and soarer's... if its any less its suspect.

thats an average of 10,000-12,000 every year... very light driving.

Not so light for a Japanese city dweller. I'd say 10,000km would be pretty average milage for an urban Japanese person - but yeah, under 100,000 would be suspect, I think.

I've seen Soarer's AND Celsior's with well under 100kms, and they've been crap boxes.

I have also seen the above with WELL over 100kms on em, and they've been VERY tidy or near MINT examples.

check for a timing belt replacement sticker, check for excessive wear on the driers seat, pedals and steering wheel and also check if any screws/bolts are missing from the dash cluster. Some easy ways to see if your'e Odo has been tampered with :-)

Just remember that its still gunna be a +10year old car, so most things are due for replacement, no matter the km's.
