Hello,

I've heard few people saying that 2j Aristos bog down and lose power between shifts? where as the Soarer jzz30 auto does not do this.

If it's true not sure if it's the ECU doing it or the way the autobox works to give that "Luxury" feel since it's an Aristo.

Could some people who've driven both 2j aristo and 1j auto Soarer give any comments on how both cars behave?

Reason was i was thinking of getting a Aristo 2j+auto pack to convert into my Soarer.

Cheers.

Never found it to be the case in mine Boris. It may retard timing momentarily between changes but I've never noticed it yet.

No difference between way your Soarer TT and Aristo TT boxes behave David?

Do they shift as quick as each over?

Cheers.

Can't really compare mate as the 1 JZGTE is fitted to a Corona MK2 (1200kg)with Power FC and a shift kit while the Aristo is the factory ECU with SAFC and of course more torque. Once the Aristo is spooled up, I've never noticed it to bog down between changes at all, just keeps powering on through the next gear no problems.
