Hi everyone,

I have been thinking about getting an aristo for a while, but i want to know what the availability of parts is like, im mainly thinking things like the bushes for the control arms and stuff, i know the engine isn't an issue at all.

Hi Adam, I've had an Aristo for a few years and there seems to be plenty of places to source parts around. Plenty of parts on JZS147 too. Castle Hill Toyota also seems to carry most parts as well and from my experience are pretty good.

Are these the same car as the Lexus GS300? If so, shouldnt be a problem.
Wouldnt mind an Aristo myself.

I am led to believe that is the case, but as the Aristo was never imported into Aust directly, I'm not sure that the exact equivalent as a GS300 ever came in. I have been told that the GS300 in 3 litre turbo trim certainly never made it here. However I stand to be corrected on that. I did hear that a few V8 4WD Aristo's did make it though.

I am not sure on the turbo motor in the GS, but I was more getting at the body/suspension parts that Adam was asking about. They should be the same.
I think the V8 was only an import???

GS300 never had the Twin Turbo engine..... you had to get an Aristo to get all the cool stuff like that.

Found these references for you mate, hope it helps.

Be warned with suspension parts. Only ever use parts for the JZS147 Aristo! Other models of cars may be similar, but not generally the same.

Lots of support through forums and jap wreckers a like as well as people parting them out due to accidents.

Not a rare car by any mean and the prices are reasonable.

I as going to get an Aristo instead of the 7 Series BMW as a baby carrier.. from a reliability and fuel perspective, I wish I did but I knew I would have modified it to 300+ rwkw LOL I can't help myself!

Add a Jap kit and some euroline rims and you're laughing!

I think adam is asking about the bushes. Are these parts available new still for reasonable money?

I think if you do a little research, you will find they are the same as the early GS300. Even the late GS looks the same as the late Aristo. Only a badge excercise.
And, I would think that some other Toyota bushes/parts would be the same.
