I thought it'd be handy to have a list of things needed to supercharge. Feel free to add to the list or comment on what is already in it. The more info the better. Intake and exhaust modifications assumed to be already completed.

The system will be a Positive displacement Eaton M90 roots type. Thinking 10psi max.

I've been trying to gather as much info as I can to find out what I will need to install my own supercharger.

So without further ado, here is what I have so far.

Supercharger 'kit' - (either Richwoods or Neil's)

M90 unit - (new or used) (thunderbird? or GM? preference, may depend on intercooling if desired ie, mounting upside down or W2A)

Connection from throttle body to Supercharger.

ECU - Adaptronic (or piggyback)

MAP sensor - Bosh has a nice one with a temp sensor built in, not sure if it's suitable or expensive yet (PN : 0 281 002 437)

Intake air temp sensor - as above

Wide band O2 sensor - Not sure if it is safe to run off just one bank.. Maybe put it in the X-pipe merge? or run two units?

Larger injectors - Not sure if needed, apparently the 7gme light green tops are a good upgrade.

Any information will be appreciated.

wide band 02 sensor only needed to tune the car then you take it off. Id go for a full engine management system not an interceptor. that way you get rid of the rev limiter, speed limiter and ignition retard between gears

Hi Gianni,

As far as i know, the Adaptronic is standalone and the standard ECU only runs the gearbox and dash..

I understand that the wide band O2 is only needed for tune, but the Adaptronic has an 'adaptive' mode where it 'learns' on the road. They aren't very expensive anyway.
