My time slip from last fri night in Mackay.
This is with no lsd and no shift kit. Tuned on 95 fuel, 8psi, 218rwkw

I have been waiting to see what the Raptor 1/4 mile times would be... I'm not far off ordering mine now.

Any problems with traction? with shift kit might be mid to low 13's yeah?

Good result! A couple more mods and a good tune and then I'll be ready to shoot down the track. Also good to know that I have a benchmark to go for.(PS I already have the shift kit and LSD)

I got pissed off with a slower driver the other day so hammered it to get around her and I got a chirp at about 125km at the gear change. yeehah!

Noticeably different from stock. A lot harsher but quicker changes. Mine is 1.5 Shift kit from MV Autos and fitted by Lew.

I ran a 13.1 110mph with a 2.2 60', with 205rwkw 5 psi. thats with a vortech supercharger and street tyres. I just got mine back from the dyno today. it made 260rwkw on 12psi, but the tune isnt finished, they had a problem with the dyno. should easily make and extra 10 rwkws. With that and street slicks should run a high 11

Yea i was pleased with the result considering how hard it is to get traction with the open spinner on a pair of stock 16's. Joshua I've been in Bretts soarer the shift is sweet as. I need one shifts are killing my times.

shift kit definitely makes the car more sporty. best thing i ever did to my gear box. I do have a problem with it though. gear changes from 2nd to 3rd take way too long. when i was racing i found my self bouncing off rev limiter. i literally had to take my foot off the gas and to allow it to change. would definity recommend you guys buy a shift controller of mv automatics so that shifting in manualised.

Ben you would be very supprised with the v8s. the may not make much peak power, but they make up for it in torque. I have raced heaps of tts with much more power than me and beaten them. to give you an indication of torque, my car made 165rwkws at 2500 rpm on the dyno, the peak power was reached by about 4800rpm and it carried through pretty much to red line.

You haven't raced me

TT's may make torque at higher revs, but if you shift your converter to use the torque at those revs, the starts you can get off the line, are nothing short of mind blowing.

But saying this, you're doing good things with the V8, and it's about time someone ran some good times.

Gianni it sounds like your gearbox might be on its way out. 2nd to 3rd slipping isnt good news, specially with a shift kit in there already!

Doesnt matter with a manualised box, it still wont fix it if its actually slipping.

It still amazes me how V8 guys still claim to be faster than tt's outta the hole, but none of the V8's ive raced or seen are!

Although im sure the Blower changes things

And yeah, Bout time someone in a V8 was having a go!

i'll give ya tt's a go soon too. won't be as fast as gianni but i had a go against a shift kitted 12 inch wide tyred tt already and he beat me by one car length over the quarter....that was with 4 psi...
