Hi guys , i have a bit of a unknown problem , i have a celsior with a supercharger after i took it for a test run , and got it to 170 or so it cut acceleration , which is just a speed cut i'm told , problem is now it will accelerate properly until 2600-2800 odd revs then it backs itself off , otherwise it will drive completely normally , anyone had this problem or able to shed some light???

My thinking is that it would be related to cam or crank angle sensors as they tend to cause that sort of issue. I'm not 100% sure that it's your problem though.

Are there any diagnostics you can do for the Celsior?

I also have a super charged Celsior in my workshop !!
You need to do the speed ECU mod , this will remove the cruise control limit and also the 180 speed limit this might also fix your problem .
Have you done an ECU reset by disconnecting the battery for a few minute's ?
This might help .

"Yes , on a track said thomas" , in his most responsible sounding of voices....

on a more serious note , i had the battery disconnected for 3-4 mins and it did nothing , but its been parked up for a few weeks now disconnected so i may get to see how it goes on friday , i have it booked to be seen by a dyno shop , i really hope its not too bad...

Well with the 6 or so Celsiors that I have done the cruise limit removal on , 4 of them are now able to go waaaayyyyyy past 180 on the speedo .
The other 2 haven't tried and probably never will !!
One of them is mine , another is Jim's who lives in Gympie so gets to cruise up the highway from Brisbane late at night and the other a mate of us both also in Gympie plus Col's machine see's 220 on the freeway quite easily .
Jim had has his up to an estimated 240 odd KPH [ which they will do if run right out ] and I have had mine down the freeway to the Gold Coast at about 220 KPH , certainly way past the 180 speed limit .
So go figure , I now have a mine's ECU in mine but my speed runs where well before that was fitted .
The only mod I have done is the cruise one , so I just figure it must do the 180 speed limit as well , otherwise how am I able to exceed the 180 speed limit function ???
Don't really know , just have the result .

thanks for the help guys , it turns out that all my problems were was the new intake pipes that were put on with the charger install, the black crinkly pipe was sucking in on itself under acceleration, i have had this happen before with a 1jz i had in a 83 hilux 2wd so i should have picked it , although the pipe was new stuff it was made by ford so no wonder it failed . after reading the replies i have also cut that j1 jumper and the cruise limit has gone , i havent tried for the speed cut yet but when i do i will give a bit of feedback on that also , Thanks guys
