With the air/water intercooler sitting in the 1uzfe V8 valley, it doesn't allow the starter motor to sit in the normal position, i was told to fit a smaller Celica unit on a custom mount low underneath the converter area, any comments or ideas if this is possible or practical.

Hi Neil, Yes its the ebay unit, i have the 1uzfe stuffed into my Te cortina. Its a radical project but very close to having stage 1 finished and registered in the next month or so. Then i'll contemplate fitting the s/c, just seen the starter motor as an initial problem. Can i ask why you mention extra height?

Ok, Apparently not, unless i can make 10 bolts fit into 8 holes. But i did notice some threads underneath the cobra/mustang style s/c, can these be used to mount an intermediate plate for the conversion?
