With the air/water intercooler sitting in the 1uzfe V8 valley, it doesn't allow the starter motor to sit in the normal position, i was told to fit a smaller Celica unit on a custom mount low underneath the converter area, any comments or ideas if this is possible or practical.

It wont have to be changed if your running a centrifugal type blower like a Paxton or PowerDyne or Vortech unit.

Not sure about the sandwich plates for the screw type blowers like the Eaton or Bullet ones....

IM sure one of the Blower guru's will be through soon to help.

Although, i have read of people using them like normal, but need a custom manifold designed?

Everything gets stated, but nothing ever done.

If you DID buy that M112 from Ebay, you have more to make up.
It's from a Lightning not a Mustang..So you will need even more height threw the hood.

Hi Neil, Yes its the ebay unit, i have the 1uzfe stuffed into my Te cortina. Its a radical project but very close to having stage 1 finished and registered in the next month or so. Then i'll contemplate fitting the s/c, just seen the starter motor as an initial problem.
Can i ask why you mention extra height?

This is the blower you should have aimed for.

Do all M112 blowers have the same hold down bolt pattern. That is are they interchangeable?

Ok, Apparently not, unless i can make 10 bolts fit into 8 holes. But i did notice some threads underneath the cobra/mustang style s/c, can these be used to mount an intermediate plate for the conversion?

Both those 112's attach differently.

I'd alloy weld another plate in to swap the 112's over.

BUT,
Being in an altered car, this will blow out the costs, so fab an intake up instead mate.
