hi guys i'm really keen on getting the GReddy e manage ultimate. i know 2 soarers that have e manage's fitted (Peter Chriss's Emanage Blue Powered
Twin Turbo UZZ31 ) and with the ultimate (Peter Taplin's Emanage Ultimate Powered
Supercharged UZZ32 )

i would like to know if these people or anyone else can answer me a few questions.

1. Are you happy with the setup?
2. how much did it end up costing for item and installation?
3. who installed and tuned the computer?and what state?(i'm in NSW)
4. any things that you were/are disappointed about the e manage?

thanks peoples

Ive just fitted an Ultimate to mine, with Rivals STOC backboxes, decat, 3" system from manifold back, ARC airbox, standard manifold and turbos. Previous power was 222 hp at the wheels, new power is 322 hp at the wheels running 1.1bar boost. Its got a few glitches that need ironing out but on the whole its good, even better on fuel on long runs lol. Car is auto btw.
Cost me 350 gbp for the used set up including 3 bar MAP sensor and 425gbp to fit and map. Im only 1 of a few that has the ultimate on their Soarers in the UK (that I know of)

Jeese 100hp is pretty impressive! Oh and i should tell every1. My soarer is a supercharged 1uz early gen. The eaton m90 is running 10psi with w2a intercooler with 315cc injectors and a catback exhaust. Thought it might help

Kim, dont be disappointed if you dont get massive numbers out of your setup. It will put down some good figures, but dont expect it to be up there with the vortech kinda range.

However!
Make sure you take a good look at the dyno sheet, it will be an absolute stomper down low and up the mid range, it will just run out of puff a but in the top end and not produce huge peak hp number.

You will find this out when you drive it through some twisty roads anyway :-)

thanks steve i have notice the torque in low and mid rang already. i just want to get a decent figure. soarers seem to put out a lower power figure than other v8's but i think its due to the cubes

you probably wont get a decent figure, low 2xxrwkw is a guess.

But the car will be about as fast as a 250rwkw vortech blown car. Peak figures mean squat.

You have to remember though, during most acceleration its mostly from about 4000+ rpm, except for the launch.

car pulls pretty hard up high aswell but i know with the blower i have it runs out of puff up high but can't really feel it.the gear change into 2nd and 3rd make you pull so much harder so it shows that the blower is giving good low and mid but less high.

all very fun and the torque is monster. i pulls you back in your seat like its no body's business

hmm i somehow doubt that a low 200rwkw eaton would be anywhere near as fast as a 250rwkw vortech setup. Although a lot of people here have their theories on why this would be so, the drag strip says different. My car with just over 250rwkws can run a high 11 sec pass,I somehow dont see any eaton setup doing this. Now to really put a spanner in the works, on 5 psi my car made 205rwkws and it ran a 13.1 sec pass at 110mph. Now again i havent seen an eaton setup with 200rwkws run faster that a 13.1.

Now to settle this i know i have to find my dyno sheet and post it, but keep this in mind. My air temp never goes above 32 degrees, the cooler air from the vortech means that it will make more power with less boost.

At 4000rpm a vortech is only making 1/2 max boost.

Reference our old mate neil.

"I pulled a 13.5 in my V8 with 176Kw / open diff / street tyres / auto with shift kit and stally."

The main point I was trying to make is that with the eaton, it will not sound as impressive if he just looks at his peak numbers but I can guarantee that what it does outside of the last 1000rpm will be a lot more impressive.
Anywhere outside the drag strip, this will be a great setup and will punch above its 'peak hp'.

Gianni, I would love to see the dyno sheet.

Steven, can you can you give me your thoughts on my dyno results.

Blown V8 with a shift kit, stock ecu, Walbro F/pump and a rising rate fuel reg. Exhaust has been done too.

Paul, it will come alive with a new ecu.

The whipple has the nice benefit of keeping efficient all the way to redline so you wont see a power drop off like an eaton (thats why you pay 5x the price for a whipple :-) ).

You will be able to bring the a/f ratio up to 12:1 throughout most of the rev range giving it a bit more mid range kick and also raise the rev limit to about 7000rpm and it will still make power all the way up. You can see from the dyno its still going up when the cut is hit.

The slope of the graph (or more the lack of change in the angle of the slope) says that you have a _very_ flat torque curve, this will probably translate into the car not feeling as fast as it actually is, just a constant shove in the back.

Get an adaptronic on that mo-fo.

I think you will find that Neils car was Dynoed in 2nd gear, which actually would make it equate to the 195-200rwkw mark when dynoed properly in 3rd gear using the 1:1 ratio :-)

Have seen it done.. Same car ,2nd gear made 187rwkw, Then in 3rd 206rwkw :-)

Also, neils Stally would have been worth a couple of tenths getting out of the hole.

Ecu is a toss up between Adaptronic and Haltech, either way I am looking for some good improvements.

A few more lbs of boost and I will be satisfied.
