Hey guys, some updates.
Backed up my 7.87 run with a couple of low 7.9's.
New best 1/4 of 12.51 with an 8.058 1/8 time. Trap speeds very near 114mph.
Blew second gear in the auto. Swapped in a spare then blew the tq converter about a week later. DOH!
Getting my broken trans rebuilt with performance clutches and an "upgraded" second gear sprag. Also, I sent my converter back to PI to get fixed and restalled. Stall will be around 3500rpm or so.
Hope to get back to the track soon after! I bought a pair of Mickey Thompson drag radials but blew the converter before getting to try them. Tried them with the stock converter and just bogged down since I had traction, hence the stall change.

Awsome mate . As long as the convertor is not too loose , Will you retain the lockup still ? If so thats ok . Should help get you bottom 12's and maybe into the 11's finally .

Updates:
After a few problems with the converter company (they sent it back to me and it was still broken) I should have my converter tomorrow.
And, after a few problems with the transmission (broken piston return spring and a broken second gear pressure plate that had to be ordered) my trans is done and I'll be picking it up tomorrow.
Should be putting it all in on Wednesday.

Have had a few problems over the last couple of weeks, didn't make the 1/4 meet.
But....went to my local 1/8 track today and had some great results!
Some notes: Freshly rebuilt transmission with Raybestos blue plate clutches, IPT valve body, dex3 fluid and a new line pressure cable. Rebuilt and restalled converter (3200-3400). Running on Mickey Thompson drag radials, stock height (255-50-16's on Mustang alloys). The first two runs I did not have my water / meth injection pressure switch hooked up by mistake. Best 1/8 before today was a 7.874 @ 89.517.
At this point I realize that my water / meth is not working and I'm hitting 160 degrees by the end of the last two runs.:eek2: You can actually see the improvement in MPH with it back on and the first couple of runs after are about the same despite crappy 60's.
Run 3:
60 - 1.881 330 - 5.218 1/8 - 7.962 @ 88.592
Run 4: Throw away run due to blowing the tires off.
60 - 2.062 (spun) 330 - 5.675 1/8 - 8.478
Run 5: New record! This run SHOULD have resulted in an 11.89 or so if I was running the 1/4!!!!!!!!!!!!
60 - 1.681 (new record of course) 330 - 4.971 1/8 - 7.703 @ 88.723!
Run 6: Not as good but still great!
60 - 1.737 330 - 5.043 1/8 - 7.774 @ 89.053
When I launched on run 5 I was cheering to myself by about the 330 mark. I just knew it was going to be awesome by the way it felt when it left. I don't think they did but it almost felt like the front tires may have lifted slightly.
Being on the new transmission / converter and first time really on the MT DR's, I was really kind of taking it easy. Run 5 I launched at about 2800rpm which I couldn't do before. Run 6 I launched at about 2600rpm. I think my actual stall speed is around 3400. At least that's the rpm (about) that the engine immediately revs to (watching back the logs) when I floor it. So, I could likely launch with some more revs.
Now I just need to do it on a 1/4 track to see if I can run 11's!
I have run 5 and 6 on video! I have uploaded run 5 to youtube but it's taking forever for them to "process" it. As soon as I can I will link it here. You can barely make out the time on the board if you look very hard. LOL. I have attatched a time slip scan for run 5.

Your multiplier will be out now due to better 60 foot times .
When i said 11 i meant anything starting with 11 champ, not an 11.0,lol ...
7.7's and 88mph doesnt add up to an 11 second 1/4 mile pass to me from experience . Flat 12's are definately achievable , but i think you need to get closer to 7.5's and over 90mph to half track to get there .

DUDE! Let me have hope! LOL, LOL.
I know that nothing is in stone until I actually do it in the 1/4. I do think I can improve the time as I wasn't giving it all I could have been since I was adjusting to the new setup. When I do go, I will have high hopes!
As far as my calculation, I don't think it's off by much. Consider that I could multiply by as much as 1.5565 and still be at 11.99. Also consider that my car picks up a bit on the back side of the track. 1/4 mph being around 113-114 despite the 88-89 1/8 trap. From my understanding that's pretty good.
Speaking of calculators, check out this site when you get the chance - http://www.wallaceracing.com/Calculators.htm If you go to the ideal mph / times calculator, my car should be running 11.6's based on my 1/4 mph with a 1.62 60ft. Put in my 1/8 mph and you get 12.14 @ 109mph.
I also like the 0-60 time based on 1/8 mile time / trap. Estimates my car to do 0-60 in 3.5 seconds which is pretty damn good.

Also, I had 1/2 + tank of gas. This may have been helping with the launch and is way more gas than I normally run.
I also forgot to mention that I did not have the converter locking up until 3rd. You can actually hear it locking in the vid. Don't know if the locked while shifting had anything to do with it breaking but I would rather not find out by breaking it again.
I might play with it some though. Have it lock up in second and then unlock for the change and then lock back up.

Daniel, your cool man. I know you aren't trying to be mean or anything. It's all good.
Even if I had that same exact run on a 1/4 track and it didn't get me an 11.xx, I have faith that the car can still do better. Although I never seem to do as good on a 1/4 track as I do an 1/8 track. I think part of it is that fact the 1/8 I go to is just plain good. Don't have as many traction issues there as I do at the longer tracks. Hopefully won't be a factor with the Mickey Thompsons though.
I love those tires BTW. I was hardly working / heating them at all with 24-26 psi and they were sticking very good!

Yet some more updates guys:
Haven't been able to run the 1/4 yet. Weather has not been good and the tracks have been closed. I might be able to run this Saturday if the weather holds, fingers crossed.
I have been busy spending too much money on my car though.
The list, sorry if I've mentioned some of this already:
Replaced both front and rear rotors. All were under spec after the last cutting.
Replaced front and rear pads with EBC "redstuff" pads.
Bought and installed Megan Racing poly motor and trans mounts.
Bought and installed a Cartech / Bell Engineering FMU. I think I've really been pushing the 315 injectors. Figured this will give me a much better safety margin without spending a ton of money to buy bigger injectors. I have it set for about a 2 to 1 gain with an "on set" pressure of about 60psi.
Bought and installing tomorrow, Technafit SS braided brake lines. My rubber hoses have about had it and upgrading to SS is actually cheaper than replacing with OEM, go figure.
Have just recently purchased a ton of stuff to rebuild / update my suspension. Front and rear sway bar links. Front and rear Prothane sway bar bushings. Front and rear Prothane control arm bushings. And, Megan Racing adjustable traction rods. I've been meaning to do the CA bushings for awhile now, been putting it off. Figured I'd go ahead and do everything while I was at it. I might still get some steering rack bushings.
I could use some advice on what to do with the adjustment on the traction arms. I sort of understand the theory on having them adjustable just not sure how to use them.
Purchased solid diff and subframe collars from here: http://www.gtfactory.jp/cms/page.php?17 (bottom of page). Not sure how these work yet but I have some slop in the rear end somewhere and I figured for $50 I can't go wrong.
I think thats about it. I'll update with some new 1/4 times if the track is open.
