Well I thought I'd put a stake in the sand for this setup, as all the parts are now paid for (Only waiting delivery of the stroker short block)...
The Twinscrew is already at home (Thanks Neil) with the W2A custom manifold setup plus dual intakes (Battery being relocated to the boot)
The 5.2l shortblock has been ordered and paid for from Lextreme (Forged pistons with lower compression 9:5:1). Should be here in around 8 weeks from the US (inc Shipping time) - so it's a little way off from all being installed.
Removing existing Eaton M90 and mating up with existing Haltech E11, 440 injectors, Walbro fuel pump, Trans cooler, Shift kit, LSD, Rush extractors, HKS Silent Hi Power dual exhaust.
Injectors are a bit limiting but ironically I'm going for only a mild 450 to 500 RWHP. Without completely changing the trans I'll be restricted. Gives room to expand later though...
The existing Six pot front AP Racing brakes and 4 pot rears will ensure I can stop the thing....
So at least 8 weeks before I can start posting build progress info - but thought I'd at least let you guys know that this project IS happening!

OK, well the build of the 5.2l stroked block is coming along although very slowly! Here is a message and some pics I got from David at Lextreme today (Although he says he is more excited than me - I don't think so!): ------------------------------------- Hello Gregg,
I am more excited than you that is for sure. I stopped by builder today and he is boring the block out and he should be finishing the sleeves end of this week. After that we need to order your custom forged pistons. I took some pictures for you. Hopefully, we will have some nices pictures. I also attached a stronger then stock sleeve. The ridges of this sleeve make it stronger then stock.

With the price of the Aussie $$$ its probably best to get it done in the US anyways i suspect, and the fact not many if any, in aus know much abould building a tuff Jap v8 !

I can't believe this - BUT...FINALLY the block is done!!! After apparent issues with the builder (he had a different sort of stroke(r)) but ended up ok, the block is now complete and has been crated up to be sent over at last!...

Hey Gregg, Im looking at doing something similar, what was the shipping worth, if you dont mind me asking??
If you need to ask then don't bother. The shipping is the LEAST of your costs.... Also with the dollar the way it is now you would be paying 20% on top of what I paid all up...*shudder*....
It doesn't stop there, add Customs broker clearance fees, duty, gst, local transport and install cost and that's all just for the stroker block....
The 4.0 with the M90 is actually a perfect combination for daily street driving (with the existing modes - Haltech etc). I just didn't have the months of driving it to really come to that conclusion.
Anyway, what is bought is bought so I'm now up for the install! This will now happen in two stages due to the total overall blow-out in costs (The global financial meltdown doesn't help either).
Stage one - Swap in the 5.2l stroker and run with existing M90 setup (Unless someone buys the M90 setup off me before then - two people are currently interested but neither have come up with the cash)
Then sometime next year...
Stage two - Relocate battery to the boot, do the dual intake fabrication and supporting plumbing for the W2A and install the Twinscrew.
Stage one will be complete very soon... ... I'll report back then.

It ended badly from memory . Machinists screwed the block , the sleeves weren't set properly , some sat higher than the deck , and weren't seated properly in the block . I think the sender blamed the shipping , and yeah :/
it needed to be completely re sleeved here , but that all went pear shaped as well .
