I was wondering if, it were possible to twin turbo a V8 and not supercharge it? if so, thats awesome and I would love to know more, if not, what are the reasons why?

While there's no true 100% bolt on kit (something always has to be relocated) there's already a turbo kit for the Toyota V8 on the market.. I present my motor and my turbo kit. We can duplicate this kit for a Soarer owner.

Yes, Very Impressive Eric. A VVTI Twin Turbo 1UZFE....
By the looks it must have resulted in a huge amount of $$$ to complete such as motor. Reasonable power figures Im guessing? Easily 500HP/600NM at the Fly wheel?
I guess, as some people just mentioned, sure you could pretty much do anything to these, hell supercharged and twin turbo, but its all about cost, that would easily be a 15-20k job at least!
For me a few grand on supercharger install plus the usual couple of grands worth of other NA mods is sufficient for my V8 soarer!

It's the 4.7 non VVt-I, completely built top to bottom with rods, pistons, cams, valves, springs, etc. I'm running the Link G3 Plus since it has 8 ignition outs. I like the idea of direct fire. No HP figures yet, but they'll be soon to come. I'm looking for 800rwhp solid. The platform in a '97 Supra w/ a Sp400 and 3.76 auto rear end. Should be a real screamer from light to light.

Ah so its a 2UZFE or a 1UZFE with a stoker kit?
Sure would have a torque advantage over a 4.0L 1UZFE thats for sure either way...
What sort of total costs have you been looking at for the motor to be complete with the correct running gear you have just mentioned? (If ya dont mind me asking!)

Right, it's the 2uz 4.7L. We will be wrapping up the 5.4L stroker for someone real soon. For a complete motor, with install kit/ clutch/ adapters/what not+ turbo kit, the cost is not inexpensive. The total cost really depends on how far the motor is taken is terms of being built.
