Update guys.

Got a Snow Performance water/Methanol injection kit from full throttle and have hooked it all up and now i'm in the best stage, filling it up with all the expensive full synthetic Penrite Oils.

have to look after the investments hey.

Tune is suppose to be around the 1st of June. just need a reply from Jason to confirm it.

current picture.

Looking Good Josh.

Nice touch to also upgrade your Trans Fluid Cooler, Engine oil cooler and add the Water/Methanol Injection system.

Three things I have considered a few times for my M90 setup when ever that will get done, some where down the track once the rest of the car is sorted!

Looking forward to the results on your car!

it's done guys!

and holy
sh@t!

talk about cranky!

the shift kit just smashes the gears and the stally is a bit of fun.

only had the one little problem and that was just a power steering line not fully tightened up.

and no i didn't get any sleep last night, haha.

i HIGHLY advise Jason Broadhurst, he took the time to fiddle and just set everything up perfectly. didn't just rush the tune, take the cash and go. very very happy with his work.

Don't have a power figure as yet but dyno run will be soon to check that out. no matter what numbers come up i'm happy with it.

It isn't an aggressive tune. it's a safe tune which is what i wanted, need it to last me, not be off its nut but not last long.

Can't test her out as yet, roads are too wet to get any traction at all, haha.

Try running through some of the Trans error codes, I think you can find out how to do that some where on the site.

My guess is one of the gearboxes solenoids is playing up and may need replacing...

Hmmm the speed sensor, I recall thats part of the gearbox its self. Are you getting error number 42?

If you do a quick search I think there are a couple of pages on what the deal is with these speed sensors.

Im not too familiar with them so sorry I cant be of more help Josh!

I could be completely off course here, but the adaptronic uses a speed sensor. Did you continue the speed sensor wire that hooks up to the adaptronic to the factory ecu?

If not, that might be why it's complaining.

The adaptronic will use an engine speed sensor (crank angle sensor), joshuas error relates to a vehicle speed sensor. Joshua does your speedo work.

The adap also has a vehicle speed sensor input.

The wire and colour will probably be different because this is off a later year model diagram..

hey guys. sorry no replies in a little while.

speedo works fine. over drive works fine too. just that stupid error code comes up!!!

So the error could be coming from the actual computer wiring not being complete? or is it a setting in the adaptronic itself?

Yep launch control and lotsa neat stuff... :-) The factory ECU still takes care of the auto box.

If the factory ECU is expecting to see a signal on a wire and it disappears off to the adap, it will complain.. Some times even if the signal is shared, it can be attenuated too much and still complain..

I believe it is a wiring error, not a setting.

Make sure that all of the wires that are meant to be intercepted by the adap as well as carried on to the factory ECU are in place..

I'd be looking at that MVSS bloke

If you look at the pic i posted before, the speed sensor input to the adaptronic is called MVSS, I think it's something Vehicle Speed Sensor.

No idea on the launch control. It's there, but my TRC is still working so I haven't bothered with it yet.

There is a lot to learn about the adap. I suggest you thouroughly read the manual and carefully play with the settings.. Save your current .ecu file somewhere safe :-)

Mine is going good. I'm still tidying a few things up here and there and doing the shift kit.

Is it worth it? I enjoy working on the car and learning along the way, but I guess for power output versus money and time gone in, i'll find out once it's tuned :-) and then how reliable it is.

I am running a "10PSI pulley, no idea what pressure I will see at the manifold yet as I have the boost cut set at 6PSI until it's tuned.

Tai what size is your 10psi pulley. id suggest you aim for a higher boost because the vortechs dont seem to make the boost they are suppose to. if you want 10 aim for about 12psi

My pulley is 68mm diameter... 2.67 inch..

What 'should' this pulley make PSI wise?

I don't know the ratio's and conversions..

Get the widest you can and the cheapest you can I reckon..

Whatever you get they won't last long, so make 'em cheap.

Mine current tires are over $600 a corner

They will probably be replaced with $300ish Nankangs..

The less you spend the more likely you are going to have fun with them at the 1/4 mile too!! :-)

I found the Khumo KU31's to handle better than the Nangkangs.. PLUS i got zome ZR rated Khumo's on the front for only $300 for the pair fitted :-) 235/40/18's .
