I haven't used the Haltech Sprint 500 yet mate, its not out just yet. But because its based on the Platinum series ECU's which i use regularly i'm confident that it will be a very good unit for the money.
Alongside one of Cam's manualising shift boxes, this is cool stuff for the money!

I'd tune and forget at 300rwkw every day Andrew. If you're running an auto with shift kit, this is as high as you want to go. The kit will do 340rwkw every day through a manual trans or built auto through a standard motor.
Kits are ready to go the week of November 16th which is a couple of weeks away.
- Installation available in Melbourne through the qualified workshop i sponsor. - Engine management and tuning duties, all catered for by myself with management decisions at your discretion. - Shift kits also supplied and installed!

No no, thats a 'pete' muffler. A twin system with some straight through lukeys will sort the noise out.
Second fuel pump is on its way, then we're back on the rollers for a cleanup and final power figure with standard auto if it holds up.
Emanage ultimate will be adapted to do boost control using an industrial 12v solenoid so we should see boost a lot sooner and get that crisp boost curve thats lacking at the moment.

Ali, Peter is using the stock cat back right now, sounds just like an 6.0L Commodore. Of course with mufflers on there is no buzzing etc, and i'd imagine it'd still make 270rwkw like this, quietly.

Okay, cleaned up the engine bay, and photoshopped out the extra stuff that was in there for testing. Install will look closer to this without the wiring
Although, there will be no stainless canister in the center, this is not required. There will also be a stainless heatshield covering the front section.
We've made the decision to ceramic coat exhaust components.
Also, minor change to manifold design is being implemented for quicker boost response and better top end power.
Yeah agreed Dan, if the wires were black and instead of a pod filter have a pipe going down and picking up air from the front it would look factory! I love that look, so much better than stuff everywhere all different colours.

Thanks guys, appreciated.
Dan, engineering shouldn't be an issue mate, she's done right.
Christian, fuel line and water lines can be done it black.
Silicon is all to be black, including reducers. The rest of the piping can be sprayed / coated no problem being stainless. I will leave these finer details to the owner, to keep the base cost of the kit down.
At the moment with a price of ~$3900 without turbo, im trying to fit as much kit as possible without detracting from the fundamentals (performance, and longevity). So we're looking into ceramic coatings (as they're a lot nicer than heat wrap) as a base inclusion if its affordable enough, at least for the manifolds themselves. The dump pipe can be wrapped with black heat wrap as it can't be seen when the top heat shield goes on.
Emanage Ultimate is now doing boost control using a DC solenoid using its spare injector driver. So there's some additional savings for kit users as it only costs and extra $120 or so for a solenoid and some wiring (down from $400 for an EBC), with the same or better results.
Pete's running a nearly stock cat back now, originally it was a straight 3 inch pipe with no pollution control all the way to get baseline figures of potential. At least we know with a good exhaust, 300rwkw is easy at reasonable boost (12-13psi). I'd imagine its still making 280rwkw or so with the stockish exhaust, having taken it for a drive yesterday. Complete sleeper.
New manifold update will open up the topend by a few percent (read: 10kw) and bring on boost 400-500rpm earlier using the same rear housing (1.06). Anyone wanting 300rwkw easily with max boost response, i'll be suggesting the 0.84 rear with external gate. With the second revision manifolds it should make 10psi and 7,000N by ~2600-2800rpm.
We will be looking for a second promo / test car in a month to 6 weeks to fit up the first production kit with the final tweaks. Expect very good benefits and freebies relating to tuning and labor.

ohhh btw got a price on a complete package
like
turbo kit fuel system computer trans cooler & shift kit
drive in drive out price?
i still really want it, but am trying to resist....
every time i have a car with performance modifications it ends badly.... reliability problems broken engines and diffs etc... LOL
you should offer a brake upgrade as an optional extra too.... V8 brakes whilst better than other cars at the time are going to seriously struggle to pull up from 300km/h..... errr i mean 60km/h
also whats your guesstimation @ flywheel torque?
just for my reference only, i know you cant get an accurate figure without running it on an engine dyno, but im pretty interested in what you think it would be, eg 500nm etc...
Second hand path - Turbo kit + turbocharger = $3900 + $450 - Installation $700-$1000
At this point the car drives. Ready for management and fuel pump + injector upgrade if you want over 230rwkw.
- Emanage ultimate & harness $900 or so new. 1J map sensor or emanage 3 bar $20-120. Complete install and tune $600. Second hand Emanage ultimates can be had for $500, sometimes less.
Rolls out with 230rwkw.
- Injector and Fuel pump upgrade. Used 7MGE injectors, cleaning, and Walbro pump. $150 + 160 + 130. Installation $300 or so. Keep an eye out on Ebay for used 7MGE injectors, they drop in and run like a factory 1UZ does. - Shift kit $450 supply and install.

It ill do 7500N of tractive effort in 3rd gear with the standard differential ratio, on pump fuel, standard engine and trans from 3500rpm to 5000rpm then taper down towards 6000N.
Built engine would crack 9000N with this turbo no problem.
Consider an NA modded 1UZ makes ~4500N, and an M90 powered 1UZ makes ~5500N-6000N peak. 1JZ with stock turbo's boosted ~6500N peak, 2JZ with stock turbo's boosted, same at ~6500N peak. I've had stock 1JZ's past 7000N peak torque, but compared to a 1UZ turbo its a blip on the screen.
V8 auto seems stronger also, might be more like the Aristo / Supra boxes which hold 300rwkw comfortably with a shift kit, and upto 350rwkw peak.

you get away with it cheaper if you can take shot by shot as you install the kit, just like competition sound quality car stereo competitors use when they need to show the judges how the wires undercarpet etc.

well I am impressed.
i am definitely interested in a kit, minus the turbo at this stage.
and i might even get around to organising you to look at the TT when I have some free time sorry mate I knew I said I'd call you but work has been non stop.
