hey guys,

My bosch 040 is making funny noises.

When i have a full tank and i just leave it idle i can hear the pump making sounds like it's sucking air every now and then

and the other day i went to over take and it started to lean out which makes me think the pump is starting to fail.... the only difference i've made to the car since the tune is replaced an old O2 sensor which i don't think could have this kinda big impact on it, i could be wrong tho.

I just wanna see what everyone's thoughts are on it before i go and buy a new pump, thinking of trying a walbro. The bosch is good but loud, i may have gotten a dud one tho, did buy it from ebay.....

I have just had the same issue with my Bosch pump, swapped out for an almost silent Walbro 255.

I rubber mounted the walbro using some viton o rings, made a huge difference. My Bosch was like a coffee grinder on anything more than a warm day. I have since learned that they are all like that and probably didn't need to change it out as I was not getting any fuel pressure loss just a noise.

Glad I did though the pump is much quieter now.
