Hi guys, I am currently running M90 with no inter-cooling at around 9Psi. And due to general consensus that M90 run very hot (especially at high boost), I’ve got myself a Devil’s own stage 1 water meth kit. So just wanted to ask for tips about mounting location and installation. I am thinking: -Use front washer reservoir for meth -Mont pump on impact bar -Install nozzle just prior to the throttle butterfly Also, where is best source of meth (Apart from Heisenberg)? At the moment I have 3L of methylated spirits (which according to the bottle is 90% Ethanol, is that interchangeable? According to Wikipedia ethanol is 1/3 Oxygen combustion ratio and methanol is 2/3)

Just a bit of food for thought. If you retune for the water meth you'll be using less injector duty which is ok unless you run out of water meth. At which point you'll probably have a bit of a lean out. If I need to go back to water meth I'll be sorting a surge tank for it. Definite power gains to be had. I didn't get before and after temps but I gained 33rwkw with timing adjustments Damon

Hey Oleg,
I ran a snow performance water/methanol which I found to be awesome. I ran it with a boost reference to trigger it so at 3psi it would spray 10% and then at 8psi it was 100% (which with a supercharger is instant, lol) and I had two nozzles spraying across from each other to get better coverage.
I just used the 8oz reservoir that came with the system.
I got my methanol from rocket industries, 20L at a time which lasts ages as it was mixed 50/50.
I mixed up some in a 10L fuel container that I stored in my boot (at 50/50 it's non flammable) so if I was on a trip I could top it up and always had it handy. I also had a switch installed in the reservoir that would trigger a light inside the car when the bottle was below the last quarter.

I have an m90 with 5 psi and I was considering this but just running water injection if that's possible? Or what about injecting e85 since its readily available. Josh how much did that cost and how did you go about doing it. Did the system allow for mapping against boost?

Mine runs 9Psi with 315cc Injectors (out of supra I think). Its making 180rwkw at the moment with a maffless tune (so no temperature sensor, meaning its alot richer all over to compensate for hot Australian summer) With methanol timing can be advanced a lot so hopping to be over 200rwkw. System I have is stage 1 so its just an on-off boost switch, comes on 100% at 6 Psi.

Meth gives you octane I think and water gives you cooling. Just for simplicity and cost effectiveness just water would be better for me provided there are still some decent gains. How much are the kits and how hard are they to DIY?

Scott, from memory the full kit was around $650 to the door and included everything, I maybe selling mine in the near future as I don't think I want to run it with my turbo setup.... open to offers. It comes with a Snow performance computer that has it's own dials to set when you'd like it to start spraying and at what boost it should be spraying at 100%.

You'll still get a power gain it just won't be as much. I gained 1psi from better rotor sealing but the rest of the increase came from being able to advance the timing. Even if you don't want to run meth for octane boosting, you should run at least 10% meth as it reduces the waters surface tension and allows for finer misting.
