Just spend yesterday afternoon replacing my fuel pump to a USDM Supra 310lph one. Went in with very little issues.

My problems came from the ECU. With the new pump, it seemed to give it 9V only some of the time. On a startup i had to rev it to keep it alive, then the fuel computer would kick it on a few seconds after. Driving over 3000 rpm would also make it cut.

I tried driving around with the ECU jumper and it worked well.

BUT bypassing the fuel pump ECU was the BEST THING ever. The pump now runs at full battery voltage (13.8V - 14.4V) and the car runs like a champ. It smoothed out part throttle and supplies ample fuel at WOT.

Just my $0.02, but a +1 for fuel pump ECU bypass. Run some 10ga wire through a relay and run it with ignition. It worked great.
