Hi All,

Anyone had any experience with the exhaust sensor (the one in the Cat). Mine is no longer in place due to an unforseen terralogical anomaly in the path of my beloved Soarer. This doesn't seem to phase the car, so I was thinking it is the type of sensor that requires >xxx degrees (eg 2500 degrees) before it send a message to the ECU to say "The cat is about to melt, please stop driving".

If anyone does know anything, please post. Thanks,

It only tells you when your cat is getting too hot. I haven't had one for ages.It doesn't seem to cause any problems... BUT...in saying that, I should be smart enough to get another one as I wont know if I am cooking the cat or not. It can tell you if you have a fuel or ignition problem and may save you a lot of money!!

Graham, I realise you've not had a cat for ages, but I think that "Cooking your PUSSY" is NOT a good idea......the ASPCA might get a tad testy........if you get my drift
