Has anyone installed a timing belt on a 1UZ-FE, we had the old belt all set so the various timing marks were all aligned (so in theory we could throw the new one on), when we removed the timing belt tensioner(think this is when it happened) the RH camshaft timing pulley mark has moved - was there something we had to lock camshaft in place first or do we just turn back for marks to realign

From memory there is a line on each cam pulley, (it's just a small mark on the rear flange, i think) this should line up with a line on the black metal backing plate, about 2 o'clock for the left and 10 o'clock for the right. Also on the crankshaft is a 'U' this should be facing up. Make sure again that all these are lined up after you release the tensioner as it doesn't take much to get 1 tooth out and it will most likely do bad things.
