I've been driving to my new job every Mon-Fri since the middle of June. I've recently noticed that I can still see my exhaust fumes out the rear view mirror when stationary, even long after the engine has warmed up.
I'm just wondering if this is a sign of my catalytic converters are on the way out because of the continual short runs to work? (2.5km each way) And no, the temperature here in Auckland has not been cold enough to keep the fumes visible during the day.

Possibly just not drying the exhaust out. Go for a long run and see if it cures the problem. From memory Toyota recommends driving a minimum of 12k in really cold weather.
