Hey Guys bought my dream car and its turning out to be a nightmare... help please

I have a 1992 uz31.

I had pump steering leaks and fixed that... changed the power steering pump.

I then changed the timing belt and the tensioner.

I then had water pump probs, it was leaking, so I fixed that.

Went for a test drive, power steering fluid was still leaking.

So had look from under the car and saw that the Weird shaped power steering piping, (its a long piece with rubber hose and metal piping connects to the pump i think) that maybe the pressure hose of the power steering, that had a leak ( a small hole)

Telephoned Lexus dealers they asked for $500 to repair.

anyway fixed that... now took it for a test drive and the car misses.

When cold it drives fine, but 5 mins later the car starts to jerk and miss.

Also the A/c piping froze, so I turned the A/C off. Thought that was the problem. car still jerks.

I dont know what it could be. COuld it be any of the pressure connectors that relates to power steering or water pump??

I dont know why the A/C piping froze.

I dont know why the car jerks and misses.

PLEASE guys any suggestions

Gerald,

AC pipe freezing is normal, just means the AC is doing it's job nicely.

Not sure about the real problem though. Others will probably have more thoughts as the day wears on.

Gerald,

Wait for others to respond but if you in the end have no luck then go to Niall Bond in Botany. He's the Sydney guru on Soarers and will also service the car cheaper than most.

Contact details:
Bond Auto Tech
3/2 Hale Street
Botany, NSW 2019
Phone 9666 6364

Good luck.

did you wash the motor? It may be water in the plug holes, or buggered HT lead.

Ok guys a quick question... if it was just the water in the plug holes wouldnt it make it difficult to start as well... rather than just miss when its hot??

JEFF AS PER USUAL... YOU WERE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. couldnt get the leads as it would take too long so bought it local. Car doesnt miss any more..

BUT I HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM NOW.....
its the POWER STEERING

the POWER STEERING does not work when the car is reving at less than 1200rpm

When at high revs the car is perfect. I thought it must have been the vacuum hoses so i replaced them, BUT still the same prob.

ANY Suggestion guys.

Also
My friend suggested replacing my injectors as they were factory ones... I upgraded my Injectors to the plug and play fitting Supra 7MGE 315cc/min, what now happens is that the ENGINE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM light comes up. (obviously its in japanese) but thats what it says.

Could it be the injectors or some faulty electrical work.

help pelase

could be the PRV inside the PS pump getting stuck... or could be the pump itself dying... Try replacing the valve first off, and then if that fails, change the pump.
