Hello first post here, hopefully in right section
I am getting a TT soarer and it has a POD installed now I was wondering how people went about making ie air boxes etc for it so that its more legal I would put the stock box back on but it also has an intercooler so the piping is in the way
What have people done, custom boxes if so anyone have any pics of their setup/install or where I can get it done in Vic
Help would be much appreciated and hopefully it hasnt been covered before

Sami, this has been covered with various alternatives, often using the word "BFI" (Big F.. err Flow Intake) so a search on BFI will probably give you more information than you wanted.

Sami even if you put a box around the pod it will not be legal! The EPA specify that you can only have induction mod so either the POD or FMIC but not both.
The whole point of the box is to sheild the pod from sucking in hot air from the engine bay, most people usually make a box and then get a scoop to direct cold air from the bumper to the pod.

^^^^ yes I am aware of that fact thats why i want to find a way to modify the standard airbox so that it fits ... i dont have the bent intercooler piping, i have the one that is straight ... making my life a bit harder but yes i have been searching BFI and have got some interesting results
Anyone know somone who could do such an install or make me a custom air box for me in melbourne ? ... im not good at making things so rather have someone else do it, and have it look neat and professional
