Hello everyone. Just recently purchased a soarer 91 TT. When I bought it the guy told me I needed new terminals as the negative is lose and can be not tighten any more. Which I havent had time to get it replaced yet.
Anyway to cut long story short I was driving down Knox rd this morning and car just blanked out. NO POWER so I pooped the hood and banged the negative terminal to give it connection.
Car started but then the slowly rev drops and stops. Did that about 3 times. So next time i started I raved it so it doesnt die. For next every set of lights i stopped at I had to rev it.
By the time I got to Blacktown it stopped to conk out on me BUT rev stayed very low at only 0.4 in drive or neutral.

Sounds like a battery terminal connection problem. Get a set of 2 new terminals from autobarn and change ur old ones and also clean ur battery posts. What happened to u sounds like the terminal got loose and ecu died, when u reconnected it, the voltage is low and the ecu also reseted itself since power had been cut off. The low idle happens when the ecu is reseted and is in learning mode.

I can do it, I'm a qualified motor mech, had 3 TT's so far, did major services 3 times, and i live in Hoppers Crossing. But i can only be a backyarder, coz i dont work in a garage anymore.
