I believe the top piece actually provides the up and down action of the BOV piston, which releases or holds the air in.... (Someone correct me if I am wrong).
The top bit needs to be somehow T-pieced back to the intake plenum to get it's boost/vacuum.

Cheers brian! ill head up there on my lunch break. Currently haha there is this little umm metallic shifting? sound when i accelerate since the T-piece isnt in. Was cruisin along and i hear this noise so weird im like hmm what tha.
Back to the old stocky its to quiet might get the plumback turbosmart one eventually just dont know where to plumback into! seems a long way for the tubing to go from left side of engine to intercooler piping.

can some please tell me on the stock BOV, is the black face of the small cylinder attached to the BOV facing the BOV or away from it? the other side is a 'leather' colour
