Tried to put in my new fuel filter yesterday but couldn't find where it's located. I followed the fuel line from the tank and pump but lost it...

In V8's it's located just underneath the driver's side rear wheel, is it the same for TTs?

Are there any after-market fuel filters we can use? or does it have to be a special?
