Hi Peter - thanks - yes that's the view of Bags and Shombre, who kindly popped over to TIF to give advice.
Bags said: "The PCV Valve maintains a NEGATIVE pressure in the engine, and the end result of having a stuffed one IS rear main seal oil leaks, grommets blowing out, AND oil getting forced up past the rings, thereby causing the smoke out the exhausts."
Shombre added: "Not meaning to be cheeky, but he does have this whacking great pump forcing loads of air in" LOL
Al and I have been waiting for his blown engine to start throwing off hoses etc, but after some long trips and 3 all-out runs at our UK drag strip Santa Pod all seemed to be well
Maybe some oil overfilling was the last straw.
Guys - if Al creeps 15 miles to a repair shop with oil chucking out the back is he going to ruin the rockers/cams etc on the engine ?
Neil - does your blown V8 regularly spit out its PCV valve - should it be upgraded somehow to cope with the effects of the supercharger ??

I'm beginning to feel like the 'Flying Doctor' diagnosing a patient over the radio in the bush !
Al's just sent this image of the problem area - shows back of engine's rocker cover and screwdriver pointing to screws that hold on a blanking disc/grommet. Apparently it is this part that has blown off to let oil spray out
Guess the blanking plate is simple to replace - but could a blocked PCV valve has caused that to happen ?
Car is still off the road, waiting for Smiffie to setup his new workshop. But he did pop round last week to take a look, and suspects it may be a burnt out inlet or outlet valve on the engine.
When he removed the oil cap, and put a hand over the hole you could feel some back pressure coming through, like somebody lightly blowing on your hand, in tune with the 'rumble' of the V8 idle.
After that we tried running it on each coil pack. 4 of the cylinders seem to work fine, but one of the other four is definitely mis firing. On the first attempt, no smoke out the back, second attempt, lots of blue oily smoke everywhere. There was plent of oil secreted around the air intake area to the blower, and it was dripping onto the headers creating more smoke in the engine bay.
If anyone has any ideas I'd be really interested right now! Cheers

People
Here is the exact answer to your problem, there is nothing wrong with engine, just pay attention and setup as instructed
On right hand side of engine along inside of cam cover at rear you will find a hose going from a right angle fitting to underside of throttle body, its about 16mm ID diameter.
REMOVE HOSE, then fit blanking plug to hose inlet under throttle body.
On the 90 Degree end attach a hose and connect BETWEEN AIRFLOW METER AND BLOWER INTAKE.
Do this and all your problems will be instantly SOLVED. Until you do this those little plugs will continue to be blown out and you will have oil pissing onto firewall insulation.
I didn't check but I assume this is for 1UZFE. How do I know these things, well lets just say I have the experience and it caught me out the first time as well. :D
