Hi Guys
Just recently registered again (was on the old ALSC) and thought I'd start off my new account by telling you about my brand new Supercharger install! One of only 3 in the UK that we know of.
The kit is a C's supercharger, originally fitted to Steve Smiths car 'loaded', also fitted bigger injectors and some sandblasted rocker covers which look really fresh. Another quality SSS install, Steve is definitely THE MAN of the UK soarer scene! Even he admitted it really MOVES!
What can I say, the car now REALLY SHIFTS, it fcuking flies now, no pinking whatsoever. Brute power throughout the rev range, but remains beatifully driveable at 'about town' speeds. We've yet to do a dyno, but before the install it was pushing out 235 rwhp. My guess is now it must be pushing at least 300, but will have to wait until the unichip can be remapped and the ignition timing adjusted properly.

I bought one after Pete's article, they are fantastic little gadgets, accurate to within 0.01 of a second!! Very cheap way to measure peformance, but also benchmark upgrades and other changes to the car. I got mine for $US 30 from ebay.

Don't bother if you are running street tyres, they often lose traction if they get hot and can get little rubber gumballs on them. Drive around the water patch if possible, of drive through then do a short burnout to dry the tyres.
Left foot hard on brake, right foot hard on accelerator should do it.
Man, you are going to have fun!

Don't drive around the water, at least spin the tyres up ie stop with rear wheels in water then floor it, bounce it off the rev limiter for a couple of seconds and get off it again. This way you get rid of all the sand and sht that gets on the tyres on your way back up the return road etc.
But if you want to make the most of your time do a decent skid cause as Neil said its fun fun fun.

I'm going to run my NA V8 alongside Al's blown one, to act as a benchmark (am seeing an average 0-60mph of 6.6sec on my Gtech).
As I'm a newbie at 1/4 miles I'd appreciate advice on the best gearbox settings. Is it Power on and OD off for the entire run ?? Or worth flicking into OD at higher speeds ??
