yeah yeah i know its been covered ad nauseum. And yep i have used search which is why i knew how to bypass the fp ecu. Then wey hey! Here's some questions i wasnt able to work out tho:
1) what exactly are the risks of bypassing the ecu?
2) how can i determine whether the problem is the ecu or the pump (ive heard that increasing to 12v via the bypass can get a suspect pump moving)
3) anyone have any contacts for replacement ecu in nsw?

thanks in advance folks.

did the car run properly when you by passed it? if so its your fuel ecu, you can by pass it for awhile but running that high voltage isnt any good for the fuel pump, so off to toyota and get yourself a new fuel ecu, i got one from them it was about $120 from memory and its a 5 minute job to change it over.

Yeah the car dies the instant the bypass wire is taken off. Thanks Adrain looks like I'll be giving toyota a call.
