Well, after doing the intercooler (and all related piping) clean, I figured I'd do the BFI conversion.
Half way through the job I couldn't help myself. With the Airbox cut and the surrounding box made, I had to take the thing for a drive. Found myself a back road near Jacobs Well and damn. There was a quite noticeable difference. There was no 500kw increase or anything stupid, but I could definitly feel a difference above about 5000rpm - especially when I was at about 150k's.
Got pulled up on the way home by the fuzz. They asked why I was driving around with no light fitted. Luckily, before leaving home, I'd thought about this and threw the light in the back. Shoed the cops and told them "My light sprung a leak and it f'd all the reflective coating inside and I had just went and picked up a 2nd hand one I had bought off ebay".
Don't know if it was the fact that it was late, or cos I'm an awesome liar but they let me off on the condition that "I go directly home" - lucky they didn't see me 2mins earlier.
Anyway, So I've finished it all up now (first, second and third chamber) and I love the all new and improved sucking!! (if only I could do the BFI mod to my fiance!!)
***note: I'll send Pen a eMail about posting the dimensions of the side wall for the first chamber (in full size so all sizes can be read - not that 800* 154k size BS)
