Hey kiddies...
How Do i tension my handbrake? at the moment,I can almost pull the handbrake, without much force, and it will end up knee capping whoever is sitting in the back seat!!! After some sifting through the forum posts, I have found that it should only come up 5-6 clicks. mine must come up to about 50 THOUSAND clicks!!!

The SOarer uses a Drum inside the rear disc for the handbrake... So the pads are inside the disc. It doesnt use the caliper like most holdens / fords...
Much better to use when stalling it up too

Cool - Thanks guys - next question being - how do I adjust the drums? is it just a matter of taking off the back wheels and presto, I see them? or is there a whole heap of crap that needs to be removed. I'm fairly proficient with mechanical stuff. I guess i'm more so just asking if there any tips or tricks that could help.

Where the red circle is, is where you stick a flat bladed screwdriver from the rear. There is a bung thingy that you'll see from underneath the car at lower center on the backing plate. Remove the bung thingo, and you'll see the serrated "Star" wheel adjuster inside the slot of the backing plate. You turn the adjuster to move the handbrake shoes out until they are contacting the drum. Then, back off the adjuster until you can rotate the wheel with no audible "Contact" noise from the shoes.
You DON'T remove the wheels to adjust the handbrake shoes.
I dunno if all this makes sense (it does in my mind ), but see how ya go!.
