Even when warmed up, I find 1,200 and 1,400 a bit high. It's the Twin Turbo 1JZ. Could it be because I have a huge exhaust or is the engine struggling? Also having dash problems. 15 minutes after purchase my whole Speedo, RPM, Gas gauge, and Temp gauge went out. A bit after, the whole cluster was black except when I signal and the usual warning lights (parking brake etc.)

Please let me know if there is anything I can do or any suggestions? I love the car, but it already has a couple things to do.. :-(

When warmed up it should idle at about 700rpm.
However that's about as far as my knowledge goes when it comes to idle problems.

And as for the dash problems, do a search for 'blinky dash' you will find answers.

Congratulations! It is a really good car.
Try to change air filter, put some chemical injectors cleaner in the tank.

Good luck!

I cleaned the aftermarket HKS intake filter it came with. It's dry and re-installed, the idle is still above 1200 RPM. Perhaps it's because it's cold OUTSIDE? .. I'm in Canada, and right now the temperature is less than 7°C.

I am in BC, 1200 RPM for warm up and normal idle is 600 RPM. Did you reset ECU?
