For the water pump what kind of sealant is best to use? Do the Toyota Water Pump kits come with any kind of sealant? From memory its that red stuff?

Also the block coolant plate seal on the right side of the engine (1UZ), what kind of sealant is recommended there?

I just want to make sure I use the exact right stuff being these are hard to get places which you would not want leaking a few weeks later!

Any help would be appreciated.

Mike i only use Dynored on pump never had any probs (and i have done quite a few v8 soarers timing belts + pump )

I always use Dynagrip on the 2 t/belt tensioners bolts.

i use three bond, and recommend it, i use it everyday, in the mining industry cheers
