car idles ok and revs out ok when in neutral.

In gear though misses .

cat light is ON. will a stuffed cat convertor give these symptoms??? can you check for a stuffed cat convertor???

Try cleaning your airflow meter with some contact cleaner.

I did it to mine and it worked perfectly after that, no longer had any mid ranges misses while accelerating!

Also check for hairline cracks in coil packs (2)
