I have recently purchased a 1995 Soarer with a 2jzge engine. 1st day i bought it i got defected for everything you can think of. I went to the mechanics and they amended the defects. However, when i drove off i could feel that the car had major lag and did not have any boost at all. The boost gauge and doesnt even go past 0.

I went to a mechanic mate who said that it could be the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). The spare parts mechanic told me it was the turbos. I dont know what to believe. All i know is that the car starts and idles fine. Just no boost from the turbos, which means they are not working at the moment.

Has anyone had this problem before ? Any suggestions ? Or does anyone know where to find the 2 TPS for a 2JZGE Turbo ?

Thanks.

1.5jz perhaps? I don't know many people who'd bother with a twin turbo setup given the option of going single turbo..
