Just another little weird prob I have now.

When driving around the 60km/h mark(might also be elsewhere, but have not tested yet), it seems as though the throttle is very touchy.

If I am just cruising at one speed, and take the throttle off just a tiny bit, you can really feel excessive engine braking, something that I have not felt before.
It is normally fairly smooth between closed throttle and slightly open throttle, but is not at present.

I did have the TPS off to test with the last problem I had, but I can't recall feeling it since then.

As far as I can tell, it seems to be only when it's kicked into overdrive, but don't quote me on that.

Any ideas?

you got the over drive button off? if your use to driving with it on and you've accidentally turn it off then you will get some engine breaking

I drive with O/D on and off all the time depending on condition, so no, that's not it unfortunatly.

It is much more noticable with cruise control on if that makes a difference

My car does it too but it's not a big drama, if any easy solution is had, I'm all for it haha. Otherwise meh.

Maybe stuck in a lower gear. Take off from a stand still, and count the gear shifts to see what gear you actually are in.

It's not that, with OD on going along in fourth gear at 80k's and I take my foot off the pedal and the revs nearly instantly drop from 2100rpms to 1100rpms, then I re-apply my foot on as slightly as possible, no matter how soft I do it, and the revs instantly drive back up to 2100rpms.

Very similar to what Jason was saying.

I dunno if it's normal or not, Alans car does the same.

isn't that just what happens with an auto's torque converter?

That's exactly what it's doing Morgan.

But mine has only just started doing it. It's annoying, that's for sure, but isn't that bad.

FIXED:-)

I went out and tested it. If I just held the throttle at about 2000rpm, it would after a few seconds, drop down to about 1200rpm then flick straight back to 2000rpm, and continue doing that.

Idle was still fine at 650-700rpm. I adjusted the TPS which raised the idle speed to 1000rpm and tested. It went fine then.
So I kept adjusting the TPS until I found where the idle was still around 700rpm, but didn't play sh!tz'n'giggles with rev speed

I couldn't be bothered to do the proper procedure with feeler guages and resistance. But it's running fine now, so I'm happy.

My Celsior did a similar thing last week...
I started the car after having not driven it for a few days, it ran a bit rough for a few seconds and then seemed to run fine. Once I got down the road I noticed the idle was high (about 12-1400 rpm) and when trying to cruise at about 2000 rpm the car would surge between 1200 and 2000 rpm.
This was rectified when I stopped and restarted the car. It hasn't faulted since.
