Hey all,

I got quoted around $500 to change my mufflers from cannons to regular ones, this also includes chrome tips for them.

I have a 3" to 2.5" split system, the cannons are too loud.

Is this a reasonable price?

Sounds pretty expensive, but i guess it depends what brand the mufflers are.
I got a whole twin 2 1/4 catback system with 2 resonators and 2 mufflers made up at an exhaust shop and it cost $620, that was a bit over a year ago.

OK so I called around and now have 3 quotes, the original was $500 plus $25 per muffler for chrome tips.

The second was around $400.

The third says $160 per side. It's booked in for Saturday.

They are going to be 2.5" mufflers that won't restrict the flow much.

They seemed really good, the shop looked clean and they were very friendly, think it was a husband/wife setup.

If anyone is interested they are

And they work on Saturdays from 8am-midday.
