Lately when i try to fill up with petrol it is all spurting back out, even when the tank it almost empty, i am now filling it up as slow as i can, if i try to fill up normally it will go ok for a minute then it all splash's back, shutting nozzle off and i end up petrol on the ground, i've tried tilting the nozzle at different angles but it still happens.
Anyone experienced similar?

That is pretty weird. Most of us have problems getting the tank full to the top, but no issues until it's close to full.

at the bottom of the neck to the tank ,there is a "trapdoor" like setup to allow petrol thru but not back. maybe it is jammed open?


You can remove the neck and check it

Coincidentally just checked again today,filling up before the long weekend!
i went to Coles petrol and all was ok, and i have recently being going to Woolworth's, and getting splash back, maybe the bowser nozzle is bigger in Woolies?, so faster flow?
