G-Day Jason. Not sure if this is your problem but there is a sensor on power steer rack it senses the pressure change and brings up idle to compensate . I have had problem with it before and changed it and all is good . Not sure if yours is same but i thought trans was problem or vacum leak won't hurt check it. Chayton

I would guess its the IAC valve slow to respond or not working properly & that its not bringing up the revs when the put it into gear ..
If you very slowly move the gear selector to select reverse etc you should notice the revs increase before it actually engages in reverse or drive & also if you just bring the revs up to around 800rpm in Neutral & make sure you hold the revs steady & then select a gear does it still stall then & if its good then its the IAC valve ..
