Hi, I've just purchased a 3L nont-t soarer (JZZ31 )and only having it a few days I have ran into a problem after doing a bit of tinkering. When I purchased it what I think to be a cable that plugs into the engine near the air flow regulator (not sure if that's the right words) was unplugged, doing what I do best I plugged this in :S Unfortunately for me, what I know now is that when I plugged it in it pushed a plunger in (stopping air from reaching the engine) and therefore it stalled as soon as it started. I unscrewed the cover and manually pushed the plunger back in to allow air to get back into the engine and screwed it back in (I also left the cable unplugged in case it tried to push it back in again). Now the engine revs up and down and idles higher by itself. Any ideas what can be done or who I would take it to to fix this.

I should also mention that it was working fine at first when we plugged it back in and then while I had the hood up I decided to reset the ECU as per the instruction guide on the site, it was at that point that the engine started stalling.... not sure if this could have anything or everything to do with it but I figured as much information as possible would help!

to the club. Up the top is a search button, try that, it will answer most of your questions. Then there is the ALSC archive, there is boat loads of info there too.

LOL, well seems like a whole heap of new problems started wednesday night so it was to the sparkies thismorning. I get my car back from the auto sparkies on monday as I am waiting on a new regulator, even with a new battery the car started cutting out while driving (and from what i've seen on the forum using search feature :p it appears to be a common problem! They also found my fan was faulty and that is being replaced and they're trying to find a program to run on their car diagnostics to check into make sure everything else is ok. When it's all done I'll be happy tho and Ill get into a brisbane mechanic who's used to them to get my 200k service done!
