Is it pretty loud this squeaking noise? Isolate it, then rip the wheel off that it's coming from and the brake assembly and check your wheel bearings. I'd guess that would be the most likely cause, otherwise it could just be that your rotor needs machining.

Well, dont quote me, but i would think you'd be up for around 250 for parts and maybe the same again labour? Anyone else that knows better, speak up!

Are you sure its your bearings? does it go away when the brakes are applied, or does it stick around?

I am no mechanic, aand i am sure there are mechanics on here that know better than me (pipe up in other words :P), but if it goes quiet under brakes then i would guess it would just be a rotor that requires machining, and you can drive to your hearts content, however if it sticks around under brakes then it is more than likely wheel bearings, which is bad, in which case you shouldn't drive.

I got my rear right wheel bearings replaced for $ 510 Including parts and labour. Parts were about 230 or so. I cant remember exact figures.

Might be simpler than that - might just be a bent dust cover.

It could also be a pad wear indicator, how long since you changed brake pads?

Vague possibility that you have a stone trapped between the dust shield & rotor.
They make a HELL of noise, way worse than the wear indicator.

Or a missing anti-rattle clip - had this on my girls car recently - but it made a rattling screech, not a squeek.
