Hey everybody, i was wondering if there was anyone in WA that has attempted a BFI mod. Please tell me how it went. I'm basically looking for help in doing it to mine coz i'm not good at that kinda thing. Cheers

its very simple! pull the headlight out and have a look, basically you are just trying to get things out of the way that are between the filter and the fresh air. If you make a nice top cover the rest can be ugly and messy underneath as you will never see it

In particular, read Peter Scott's post in that thread.
OTOH, if you want to have a go, try the bell mouth and Clark Rubber silvered insulation route. No templates, metal bending or hard sheet cutting required. It is also quiet and works.

Sounds good to me. I had built the centre chamber out of core flute but it was for the tt and i gave that to someone in the club. I'll track down some materials over the next few weeks and we'll organise a day then.

Yeah, I sprayed my eggcups black as well. Apart from the filter being clearly visible, you could almost convince someone it was stock. I wonder if there are any black or dark-coloured aftermarket filters out there?

Keep an eye on the WA section, probably Friday April 28 will be the next one, but Saturday Saturday 29 is the Hi Tech Titles as well, I'll be going to both anyway.

Hey luke, what you planning on making your BFI with? if you have your materials ready we should get the bfi day going. I've got some core flute, enough for one, if you want anything else let me know what you're building materials you may want. (moulding plastic, insulation. etc
