I can recommend my mechanic, Frank Bria Motors. Anthony (Frank's son) has looked after my Soarer since I bought it 2 years ago and he's worked on plenty of others too. Just give them a call and ask to speak to Anthony and tell him that I sent you.

I can also suggest you call Tilbrooks. They have take real good car of me and they don't do dodgy jobs OR rip people off. They have done the major 100,000k service as well as a load of other stuff. They mainly work on Turbo cars and have a few of their own. They believe in looking after their customers as they know that one unhappy person is bad for business. They are at tilbrook.com.au if you are interested.

Couldn't say for a TT as I have a V8. Give Mark a call on 8261 8619 he will give you an better idea. Personally though I cannot say enough about Tilbrook's. They got me out of some REAL messy spots after car was hacked on by another place. They are a little more $$$ per hour, but as they know what they are doing, they are more efficient and do a brilliant job thus saving you having to re-do work.

Tom, I have just been down to see Stave Cramp at Manta Racing, Deacon Ave, Richmond. He has been highly recommended to me.

First impression of the workshop - stunning. The place is so neat, tidy and organised, there isn't a spilled drop of oil anywhere to be seen.

Cars are either being worked on or have dust covers on them. I have never seen a workshop in such pristine condition.

Back to costs, he quoted me approx $300 labour to do the belts etc and water pump on my V8, I will be sourcing the parts myself.

From what I know, that is a good price for this job.
