Hey guys, i'm changing my air con compressor this afternoon , and this obviously involves removing the belt.... how do i slacken it? i have quickly inpected it from the top and didn;t see anything too obvious...
i can only imagine that the tensioner is located at the starter motor underneath?
any help would be good., as well as with the compressor replacement.!

Lincoln don't take this the wrong way man,but if u have trouble taking the belt off u should'nt work on ac . it'll cost more when u have to go to a shop to repair the damage\leaks

I agree with Peter, you could end upwith more problems than you started with. You have to get the gas out of the AC system to take the hoses off so you can remove the compressor. Leave it to the experts. It will be cheaper in the long run.
No offence guys, although it sounds as if i dont know my way around mechanical wise... i do, i am |(or was) just not sure of the system the soarer uses. my pulsar and blue bird were horrible to change belts etc.
I have changed the belt, bottled the gas, changed the compressor and regased the system with no dramas, no leaks.
