Esteemed advisors -after replacement of water pump by local mechanic this comes on everytime engine is initially started -will go off after engine stopped and then started again . I've tried ecu reset no luck!

Check the Cam Sensor wire on passengers side of engine.He may have left it hanging and the fan belt has worn through it.
OR.
Cam sensor on Right side is not plugged in under ignition coil.

Thanks Neil the wires look ok it's possible he didn't reconnect right side is that a big job? One thing I've noticed is after only 5 minutes engine running if I turn the engine off and start it again the light doesn't come back on -seems to be driving ok !

Right side is easy to get to..(Look under the Ignition Coil on the top)

Try re-setting your ECU Tony, it COULD just erase it.
