We got our '95 Soarer (3.0l n/a) back from the yard where it has been sitting awaiting sale. It is running strangely at idle- in Drive or Reverse it jerks likes the engine's missing or a plug has gone- but runs sweetly and revs out nicely. It will also idle normally in Neutral. The problem seems accentuated when steering at low speed- I checked power steering fluid level and it's fine. Could it be the PS pump or an issue related to the Auto box ECU? This problem wasn't there when we left the car at the yard a few months back (sales are slow here:-))

Cheers,
Mike

Possibly just lack of use Mike.
Maybe do an ECU reset via the fuse yanking method?

Dead right, Don :-) should have though of that. I topped it up with fuel too, a problem I've noted in the past with cars requiring high octane fuel, is that the low octane ULP we get here goes stale after about a month, and of course the Soarer likes HULP which we can't get. It's OK when the fuel's fresh, but even though there are two knock sensors (the last car we had which needed HULP pinged madly) it might still run roughly.
