Have any of the soarer owners in WA had their speed limiter disconnected. I am trying to find someone in Perth that does it.
Cheers

You need an Apexi RSM or an after market computer (not a piggy back).

Thanks Benny,
Is there a model number that I should look for as I am a dumb sh*t when it comes to auto electrics. I have a 1jz project car on the go as well so I will also need an aftermarket computer for that . A dumb question whats RSM stand for?

RSM = Rev/Speed Meter. It has multiple functions including the speed cut as a bonus.

If what you want is an after market ECU then the MINE's is the go. There has been a couple available lately but usually they are quite rare.

Use the search facility for what you can/should/should-not do.

I would rate a mines ecu VERY highly if it would do the same job as a SAFC,\

Good deal tho for 750 !

Hey, the IFT piggy-back unit does speed cut.

However, most don't.

There had to be one out there. I've never heard about the IFT. Who makes it and will it work on a V8?

The IFT is basically a glorified SAFC, a piggy back unit that controls fuel, but has the added bonuses of boost cut / speed cut.

Unfortunately I can't comment on their suitability for a V8. Although you'd think it'd be much the same.

The IFT is no longer on their website, but it's a fairly informative website as is.

Good luck.

Just installed my Apexi RSM series 1, works a treat. I also have a EMS running piggy back and that didnt do speed cut, it just made wiring the RSM more interesting :-(

If anyone wants to know exaclty which wire goes where let me know. I even have colour coding :-)

PS- i dont think my revs are synch'd up though. Using the C6 setting they are correct on idle, then gradually become out of snych until an RSM quoted 8700rpm :-) ahahaha
