Hi. My Soarer broke down two days ago. Was driving along the highway when I suddenly noticed smoke coming out under the bonnet and the temp gauge was climbing up towards maximum. I had a look in the engine bay and noticed that coolant was spilling out from somewhere at the rear. Got the car towed to a garage and they reckon that coolant is leaking out from somewhere behind the engine block (??), but they have huge troubles getting into there, because there is not enough room. But it looks like the head gasket is not damaged, so touch wood...
Sounds like the heater hose that runs behind the block. Absolute bastard to get to.
My one leaked at the connection that was right at the back of the block. The hose clamp had finally dug its way thru the hose after 14 years. Was lucky as I spotted the temp gauge go up and pulled straight into a servo, and found no water in the over flow bottle and low in the radiator.
