Hi guys,

I found I have a leaking rear mains seal, and from what I can find so far It is a reasonably simple job, should be able to do it by dropping the gearbox and going through the sump?
Just wondering if anyone else has had it done by toyota, and how much it may cost?

Thanks, dave.

Around $80-ish for the seal. Pull the box off, then the flex plate. Remove seal with screwdriver, replace seal and tap in lightly with soft hammer. Replace flex plate and gearbox. Done.

Dave just make sure it is the rear seal and not your cam covers leaking and oil dribbling down the back..
it does happen mate
as that oil will make it look like a rear main seal.
